We are a collective of like-minded mental health professionals. While we vary in therapeutic styles, personal history, and academic background, we feel strongly about our mission and philosophy. Our mission is to provide quality, goal-oriented treatment to teens and adults with eating disorders and body image concerns within an attachment framework. We are anti-racist and anti-diet culture. We are fat positive, sex positive, weight inclusive, neuroinclusive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming. Our practice gains its strength from the scientist-practitioner model. We aim to integrate empirically-supported, or scientifically-backed, treatments as much as possible in our practice. However, these sorts of treatment modalities are not one-size-fits-all, and this is where our clinicians shine. We are creative and pragmatic in our approach. It is imperative to recognize the functionality of seemingly dysfunctional behaviors with patients and meet them where they are. When strict manualized interventions just will not do, we have the clinical flexibility, creativity, and theoretical framework in which to operate from. We help individuals navigate through important developmental milestones via the therapeutic relationship as well as implementing empirically-supported/manualized treatments as necessary. This approach allows for a more holistic, compassionate, and adaptable process of therapy.
